FAIR BUDGET FAIR – SATURDAY AND SUNDAY JANUARY 15TH AND 16TH: In this time of crisis, communities must plan actions to respond to attacks on our livlihoods through democratically planned actions. Come to the Fair Budget Fair this January to plan actions in response to the budget cuts. For more info check out our page on the Fair Budget Fair.

OCTOBER 7TH NATIONAL DAY OF ACTION: October 7th, 2010 marked the second National Day of Action. A walkout was held at the Evergreen State College with about 200 people in attendance. This day marked the resurgence of OCFB and continued action planning.

MARCH 4TH NATIONAL DAY OF ACTION: On March 4th, in solidarity with actions across the country, Olympia Coalition for a Fair Budget held a funeral for our Education, Healthcare, Environmental and other vital Social Services that our legislature has put on the chopping block. read more…

FEBRUARY 5TH STUDENT WALKOUT: At 11:30 AM on Friday, February 5, 2010, hundreds of Evergreen State College students, faculty, and staff members plan to “Walk Out” of their classes and jobs in a protest against Governor Gregoire’s proposed budget cuts to higher education, social services, and environmental protection programs. read more…
